Hey Lovlies,

So on Saturday I had the brilliant pleasure of attending the big burnley clothes swap event at Victoria Mill in Burnley, as a  blogger! The clothes swap was in association with Boohoo, Viva PR and Burnley Social all to raise money for Pendleside Hospice which is such an amazing local charity. As this was my first ever blogger event I was extremely nervous however I just want to say a huge thank you to all the lovely ladies I met throughout the day (you know who you are). I took my mum along to the event as we both loved the idea of swapping clothes for new etc, sustainable fashion is so important to me and we often love a charity shop haul. We both took along 5 items each to swap (5 items was the maximum number to swap), to then receive vouchers to swap for other/new clothes! It was like shopping for free and if you're a shopaholic like me it was heaven! There was clothes galore that Boohoo had kindly donated for the event including; dresses, coats, skirts, menswear etc. There really was something for everybody at this event!





Viva PR invited me along to the event which I am truly grateful for! The event started at 10am so we had a quick look at the clothes on offer then it was time for breakfast! It was so lovely to be treated this way I didn't want the day to end! I also met some lovely blogger girls and we soon started chatting about the fantastic event and the fact it was in Burnley not Manchester for once. Living in Burnley myself this is a huge milestone for us and I can't wait for more future events here.


There was a DJ on site and also Simon Townley Hair stylists which were at the event to offer free services, which I took the pleasure of having my hair curled by one of the stunning girls there. I had straightened my hair that morning as I didn't have time to curl it so this was the perfect chance to have it done and feel like a princess at the same time! All the girls were lovely and left me with the most stunning curls I just had to take a few selfies... of course!







Us as bloggers were the first to arrive and had an hour to look around at the swappable items on offer then members of the public started to arrive at 11. The event was soon super busy and everyone seemed to be having a great time. A clothes swap event is such a great idea for the community and bringing people closer together as it is quite personal due to all the money raised from the tickets was for a local charity which everyone knows and no doubt family members have used as mine have. I definitely think more communities should take note of this event as it really was so much fun and in the heart of the town! Really putting Burnley on the blogging map!

So last week I decided to head to Makeup Revolution online and see what catches my eye and whats new on the website! I love the Makeup revolution website as it is so easy to use and flick through to find different items and collections, I have shopped with them before and parcels always arrive early to me! Id much rather buy from them directly rather than Superdrug.co.uk as their website is rubbish.


As you can see I purchased 4 items, including 1 sale item (btw they had an amazing sale, definitely check it out for some bargains). All the items I bought were complete bargains anyway as Makeup revolution do the best quality beauty & makeup products for such amazing prices.

Rainbow Highlighter 

I did originally hit up the website for the most beautiful rainbow highlighter you have ever seen!  I had been looking at some on eBay (but thats for a different post). It is just utterly stunning, who doesn't want their cheekbones highlighted from a rainbow...I sure do! On first swatch it is a beautiful as it looks, and also very pigmented - like all Makeup Revolution items I am never disappointed. The colours include; pink, yellow, green, blue and purple. I also will mix this up and use certain shades as eyeshadows too, as I love multifunctional products. The rainbow highlighter was £4, and £4 well spent!


Re-Loaded Palette Visionary 

I really wanted to pick up the new soph does nails palette however already owning the first one, this paler caught my eye a lot more! Theses shades are so up my street it is unbelievable, I love pinky tones on my eyes as I feel as though it really complements my skin tone and face. The sparkly pink shade immediately got me and I had to swatch it asap! ... It is gorgeous! Again this palette was £4, and for 15 eyeshadows I think that is pretty good. Compared to Mac or urban decay which around £32. Also for summer, I love the idea of switching up to less neutral shades and for £4 you can't go wrong really!



Pro Supreme Lipstick in the shade Rebellious

This lipstick was £2.50 from £5 in the sale, however since looking on their website today the lipstick is back up to £5 which is still cheap! The pro lipsticks are pretty new so I quickly snapped it up for the £2.50 price tag. The shade definitely looks darker online than in real life however it is still lovely! It is like a your lips but better and a bit lighter, also in a matte finish. I love wearing this already and actually have it on now! I can't wait to test it with a lipgloss over the top as I think that would look lovely.


Renaissance flick Eyeliner 

Last but definitely not least is the Renaissance flick eye liner in black. My current eyeliner which I love from Eyeko is sadly running out so I decided to try this one out for £5. To be honest it was the rose gold colour packaging that mostly caught my eye. I used the liner this morning and it is honestly so black and thin, perfect for the ultimate cat flick which I love doing everyday. With the shape of the felt tip, you can make the line thin or thick that is totally up to you! But I must say due to the shape of the packaging it makes the lid really hard to get off, unless that is just me and my weak hands haha.

So June has just ended and we're finally in July! What a better to way to commemorate June than a favourites post! I have plenty of beauty favourites this month, however I've been enjoying things I can't physically show you such as Sims 4 on my Mac and Friends the TV show. Obsessed with 24/7 in the month of June, but no spoilers because we haven't managed to finish all of friends yet, I still can't believe I've got to the age of 21 and never seen an episode! Sims 4 has also been an obsession of mine recently, I even downloaded a love island villa and all the islanders...sad or what haha.

However the other favourites I am loving are...



1. Inside Vogue by Alexandra Shulman Book 

The book reflects Alexandra Shulmans diary of British Vogue magazines 100th year and what it entails. This is by far my 2018 summer read. Its witty and insightful, if you like fashion and all the inside scoops (like me) then this is a must read for you. With my heart set on a future career in fashion promotion, all the ins and outs are essential. The book discusses celebrities and designers alike. Set in a diary format through each month with different occasions discussed.


2. Liz Earle Botanical Shampoo & Conditioner 

After using a somewhat harsh colour shampoo and conditioner for the past few months my hair is really appreciating the calming effects of the Liz Earle botanics. After using Liz Earle products for years now my amazing nan treated me to this due in the limited edition packaging, and I am in love as per usual with all Liz Earle products. The scent is just heavenly, very fresh and botanical - clean! I love the consistency of both products and how they really feel as though they are cleaning every inch of your hair thoroughly! If you think Liz Earle is just about the Cleanse & Polish (which is also amazing) definitely branch out and check out her other products this summer!



3. Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipsticks

Priced at £5.99 each, I honestly think these liquid lipsticks are the best on the market! So affordable and so long wearing with amazing colour pay off. There are so many shades in the range to choose from it was so hard to pick just two to buy! The formula is amazing and dries within seconds on the lips however applies with a velvety/satin feel. I can't wait to get my hands onto a red shade. These Liquid lipsticks really do last all day long, wearing throughout the centre of the lips just slightly but after a touch up looks perfect again. Drink and eat and you have no problems what so ever.


4. Carmex

My ultimate essential for summer, I have one in every handbag! Strawberry is my favourite, the way it tingles on the lips feels so good and the SPF is totally needed in the UK heatwave! I put this on before my makeup and it lasts for so long afterwards! Also a perfect base for underneath lipsticks to keep you lips nice and moist (especially for underneath matte lipsticks). I really want to try some of the different flavours as pineapple and mint also sounds very refreshing!

So its finally July and summer is vastly approaching! Having had a lovely heatwave this week already, I just can't wait for more.


Often busy throughout the day with my bf at work and me completing Uni deadlines it is sometimes hard to get one on one time. The evening is the perfect time to celebrate the sunset and go on an adventure for it! Last weekend we did this. We set the sat nav to Dovestone reservoir and off we went on our adventure at around 7:30. I love summer nights as it doesn't get dark until around 10 pm, making the day last longer! Dovestone reservoir is perfect for any occasion (but never to swim obviously) it is gorgeously peaceful with grounds that last for miles, often popular with hikers and photographers alike. Also just 40 minutes from Manchester, definitely visit if you ever get the chance.


The sunset began setting at around 9 ish pm giving us enough time to walk to the ideal spot to capture the perfect shot. The Ducks were peacefully swimming along the edge, kiddies skimming stones (as well as my bf) and the birds singing. Sounds cliche but I loved every minute.


Walking through the memory woods to get to a beautiful open cove, honestly looked like where the fairies live! It makes me so happy to be walking at night in the UK of all places without even needing a jacket or cardigan on, amazing.


Capturing the beauty everywhere we went, I couldn't help to snap the landscape at every opportunity.
