Hello lovlies,

So June has just ended and we're finally in July! What a better to way to commemorate June than a favourites post! I have plenty of beauty favourites this month, however I've been enjoying things I can't physically show you such as Sims 4 on my Mac and Friends the TV show. Obsessed with 24/7 in the month of June, but no spoilers because we haven't managed to finish all of friends yet, I still can't believe I've got to the age of 21 and never seen an episode! Sims 4 has also been an obsession of mine recently, I even downloaded a love island villa and all the islanders...sad or what haha.

However the other favourites I am loving are...



1. Inside Vogue by Alexandra Shulman Book 

The book reflects Alexandra Shulmans diary of British Vogue magazines 100th year and what it entails. This is by far my 2018 summer read. Its witty and insightful, if you like fashion and all the inside scoops (like me) then this is a must read for you. With my heart set on a future career in fashion promotion, all the ins and outs are essential. The book discusses celebrities and designers alike. Set in a diary format through each month with different occasions discussed.


2. Liz Earle Botanical Shampoo & Conditioner 

After using a somewhat harsh colour shampoo and conditioner for the past few months my hair is really appreciating the calming effects of the Liz Earle botanics. After using Liz Earle products for years now my amazing nan treated me to this due in the limited edition packaging, and I am in love as per usual with all Liz Earle products. The scent is just heavenly, very fresh and botanical - clean! I love the consistency of both products and how they really feel as though they are cleaning every inch of your hair thoroughly! If you think Liz Earle is just about the Cleanse & Polish (which is also amazing) definitely branch out and check out her other products this summer!



3. Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipsticks

Priced at £5.99 each, I honestly think these liquid lipsticks are the best on the market! So affordable and so long wearing with amazing colour pay off. There are so many shades in the range to choose from it was so hard to pick just two to buy! The formula is amazing and dries within seconds on the lips however applies with a velvety/satin feel. I can't wait to get my hands onto a red shade. These Liquid lipsticks really do last all day long, wearing throughout the centre of the lips just slightly but after a touch up looks perfect again. Drink and eat and you have no problems what so ever.


4. Carmex

My ultimate essential for summer, I have one in every handbag! Strawberry is my favourite, the way it tingles on the lips feels so good and the SPF is totally needed in the UK heatwave! I put this on before my makeup and it lasts for so long afterwards! Also a perfect base for underneath lipsticks to keep you lips nice and moist (especially for underneath matte lipsticks). I really want to try some of the different flavours as pineapple and mint also sounds very refreshing!

So its finally July and summer is vastly approaching! Having had a lovely heatwave this week already, I just can't wait for more.


Often busy throughout the day with my bf at work and me completing Uni deadlines it is sometimes hard to get one on one time. The evening is the perfect time to celebrate the sunset and go on an adventure for it! Last weekend we did this. We set the sat nav to Dovestone reservoir and off we went on our adventure at around 7:30. I love summer nights as it doesn't get dark until around 10 pm, making the day last longer! Dovestone reservoir is perfect for any occasion (but never to swim obviously) it is gorgeously peaceful with grounds that last for miles, often popular with hikers and photographers alike. Also just 40 minutes from Manchester, definitely visit if you ever get the chance.


The sunset began setting at around 9 ish pm giving us enough time to walk to the ideal spot to capture the perfect shot. The Ducks were peacefully swimming along the edge, kiddies skimming stones (as well as my bf) and the birds singing. Sounds cliche but I loved every minute.


Walking through the memory woods to get to a beautiful open cove, honestly looked like where the fairies live! It makes me so happy to be walking at night in the UK of all places without even needing a jacket or cardigan on, amazing.


Capturing the beauty everywhere we went, I couldn't help to snap the landscape at every opportunity.

So recently Ive been heading out of my comfort zone when it comes to clothing. I have always been one for colour, certain trends and being bold however this outfit is definitely out there for me - but I love it!


It was a gloomy Sunday yesterday and I was heading to a lunch with my family, keeping my makeup minimal I wanted to play with colour within my outfit for the day. My beautiful coat is from the new Primark store in Burnley, which I am already obsessed with and is not good for my bank account! But a stunning coat like this for £25 is such a bargain! I made a total beeline for this when I saw it in store and fell in love with the bright red/orange colour instantly. Envisioning pairing it with a blue wash denim jeans and a striped tee - I love it when an outfit comes together like you planned.


Cute white Superga sneakers and white socks keeps the main focus on the longline blazer style coat. Also with the minimalism of my ideal straw bag (My perfect charity shop find, in love) just brings the outfit totally together.

Sorry I've been absent for a while but Im back with a lovely little easter post, so grab all the chocolate you can and keep reading!

Planning my easter makeup led me to crave something more natural (ish) with a pretty spring time eye look. The makeup as mentioned below will definitely give you the pretty spring look we've all been looking for, even if this english weather isn't complying.


Lets all be honest I did this post due to my love of the I heart Revolution Surprise Egg rose gold, I am utterly in love with all aspects and most of all the travel friendly size! Also for the £5 price tag I had to try it, and I was not expecting to love it as much as I do now! Makeup revolution you did so well! Perfect for easter with the compact easter egg size, the rose gold packaging and the pinky warm tones - utter heaven in an egg with 2 beautiful highlighter shades. Be aware that I had to order this beauty online due to the amount of out of stock signs they have in stores, but I cannot wait to buy more eggs from the collection!


Of course I then had to include another recent essential of mine, the Bad Gal Bang Mascara by Benefit. This mascara is honestly out of this world (fitting as it contains aero particles derived from space technology - one of the lightest materials!). Adding the perfect amount of volume and length to my lashes like no mascara has ever done before, I find the formula dries very quickly on my lashes and feels weightless. It is also a little clumpy however I enjoy this as it makes my lashes look less false and naturally bigger. Overall the best mascara you will ever try.

 Finally another essential of mine is this Mac Lip Liner in the shade Boldly Bare, it works perfectly with my favourite Mac Velvet Teddy Lipstick and makes the shade last longer without adjusting the colour of velvet teddy. This is my perfect lip kit and isn't too much on the lips, so natural but 90's. Your lips but better! Also as its easter and a lot of eating and drinking is probably going to take place, no need to worry about your lips - the lip liner makes any lipstick last ages!

So Valentines Day is just around the corner and if you haven't already got your makeup sorted, you can definitely plan a makeup look around this perfect lip colour!

Whether you are spending your valentines day with family, date night or with your gals then you can still rock this lip shade no matter what the event! Wearable in the day and super seductive for the night, suiting every skin tone. Of course I am talking about Sleek! An affordable beauty brand with quality at the heart. This is the Sleek Matte Me liquid lipstick in the Rioja Red shade.


Perfectly red in every way. I received this for Christmas and I've kind of been obsessed with this shade ever since! The formula is creamy yet matte (obviously) but doesn't feel overly drying on the lips. I desperately want to pick up more shades as they are only £3.95 on Feel Unique. The formula lasts a super long time, Ive even managed to eat and drink with only a little smudge but with reapplication looks perfect again.


I just wear this liquid lipstick on its own as I've found a lip liner isn't needed, due to the formula not bleeding out onto my skin - which I've found before with other high end liquid lipsticks!


As you can see the swatch of the lipstick matches the bottle perfectly, so you know what you're getting instantly. It is the 'perfect' beautiful red shade for any special event, and even though I have extremely pale skin it suits me to a T. Every once in a while we all need a bold lip colour to express ourselves and I think I have found mine.


Here is a quick selfie of me from Christmas Day wearing the lovely Matte Me lip! Also very wearable with any eye look from a classic smokey to just simple cat wings to spice things up a little. I wear this lip colour with any outfit, a dressy date night look to a lovely every day me.

So as we all know Glossier has recently launched in the UK, after being popular in the USA for multiple years. There has been hype all over the place about it so I thought I too would add to the mix of Glossier posts.


I purchased the items before Christmas 2017 and I have been using them ever since, to get a real feel for them and see how they work for my combination and often problematic skin. As the title says 'game changers' I really do believe they are.

The Glossier website was a little daunting to me at first, I had seen some recommendations from fellow bloggers and youtubers and decided to add them to my basket ASAP. I purchased the Phase 2 set that included the Boy Brow, Generation G Lipstick and the Stretch Concealer. This was a set of all the items I fancied trying from them, however saving £8 as not buying them individually - so definitely check out the other sets for bargains.

My Glossier order came super quick and I was over the moon with the packaging and whole appearance of the post, Im a sucker for advertising and pastel pink is such my colour. The box included the standard Glossier bubble wrap, stickers and my items.

Stretch Concealer

As I would call it 'the perfect concealer' for everyday, not too little and definitely not too much. The perfect balance. I layer this over my foundation (Kat Von D lock it) for my under eyes and any spots or redness that may still appear through the foundation, stretch concealer keeps my spots none noticeable. The tub aspect is also a winner in my eyes, I love to feel products and warm them up with my fingers before application - I apply this with my ring finger only. I purchased the lightest shade and it is perfect for my very fair skin. Makeup that lets skin look like skin indeed.


Boy Brow

Of course I had to purchase the internets beloved boy brow, all the hype I just had to. I decided to go for the shade brown to help fill in my eyebrows a little more even after my pomade. On a daily basis I use my ABH Pomade or my Ted Baker eyebrow pencil to fill in my brows then to set them evenly, boy brow does the job like no other. I also want to try the clear shade next time to compare. It saves your eyebrows smudging throughout the day and keeps them safely in place, so no need to worry.


Generation G Lipstick

As it was before Christmas I decided to go for the 'Jam' shade, a beautiful dark plum/red berry which suits every skin tone. I didn't want to pick up my generic my lips but better colour, I must've been feeling daring! This lipstick is very sheer yet matte when applied, yet I find it very moisturising. This lipstick is a good all rounder and perfect for those chilly days when a berry lip and a turtle neck jumper are needed! However the only downside to this lippy is that it really doesn't last very long at all, don't drink or eat wearing it though and you'll be fine!

Overall I am really impressed by Glossier products and if I were to recommend you buy just one product I've mentioned it would have to be the Stretch Concealer, life changing! My skin has been so up and down as of recently due to the weather and me consuming my own body weight in Christmas chocolate. So because of this I decided to reach for my L'oreal pure clay face masks, I use them as a combination to work in unity together to get my skin back to its peak condition.


Now you've probably seen so many posts around the internet about these face masks but I decided to add a new one into the mix that is a pretty new release. Also if you are currently having trouble with your skin recently like myself then maybe these clay masks can help you out too.

Pure Clay Detox Mask 

Kicking this off with my favourite of the 4 in my current collection, the detox mask aka 'the grey one'. This mask is my one true love and I mainly focus using it on my chin and jawline area, also the upper lip. This mask is perfect for detoxing your skin of all the impurities it holds. It is enriched with black charcoal that acts as a magnet to draw out all the impurities.  Did I also mention all the masks smell gorgeous? I apply it to dry/damp ish skin and let it sit for around 10 to 15 minutes its totally up to you - then I remove with a damp muslin cloth. Each and every clay mask feels utterly smooth and professional on the skin, like a spa day right in your own home.



Pure Clay Glow Mask

Unlike the others in the collection the Glow mask contains tiny exfoliating beads that you can feel when applying to areas you would like to brighten. Its beautiful pink colour comes from red algae that is known for its brightening properties, and apricot seeds to gently exfoliate dull and uneven skin. I tend to focus this one under my eyes (but not too close to cause irritation) and around my temples and cheek bones, where I naturally would like to glow and be bright. Again using this the same way and removing with a damp muslin cloth (mine are from Liz Earle).



Pure Clay Purity Mask

The texture of the purifying mask is a lot thinner and much creamier than the rest. I focus this on the areas where my pores may be large and blackhead areas such as my nose and around and my forehead - the T zone. It is enriched with Eucalyptus extract with is known for its purifying properties. My T zone always feel hydrated and smooth after using this product, ready to apply my serums and night time moisturiser.



Pure Clay Blemish Rescue Mask

Claiming to clear and unclog pores with Marine algae extract. Again this is a thicker texture very similar to the detox mask, I like to focus this on all my problem acne areas, as of lately it has been my chin with a few on my cheeks. This mask always does its very best to calm the spots down, as they definitely appear less red and inflamed after just one use.

The only one missing from my collection is the pure clay bright mask 'the yellow one' which I also can't wait to try as all 4 have impressed me and my skin so far. Whats not to love about all illuminating properties?
