The Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette

11:28

Hello Lovlies,

I'm back! Obviously I had to get my hands on the newness that is the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette, because it is just so so beautiful! The colours are just perfect as I have nothing else quite like it in my makeup collection, and find myself reaching for this palette a LOT! I also feel this palette is ideal for the summer to autumn transition because who doesn't want their eyelids to match; the falling leaves, pumpkins, spiced lattes...need I go on?!

So after lusting over this for many many months it is finally mine! I ordered mine from Debenhams from here in the UK as the UD website is always sold out (typical right).  I would definitely suggest swatching this palette before you buy if you are hesitant - would the colours suit you etc? I would say they suit me, I am definitely drawn to more warm tone colours over cool tones as I have been using my Naked 3 Palette for years and years now. As a brunette with balyage blonde, blue eyes and fair skin this palette suits me, but I honestly think it is a universal palette for all skin tones and hair colours.

Just like all the Naked Palettes the formula is magnificently creamy, even with the one swatch/sweep of colour it is amazingly pigmented and definitely build-able. I have been wearing Lumbre the most and as a glitter shadow fallout is often expected however over the last few days I haven't experienced any fallout with Lumbre or any of the other beautiful shadows. The size of this palette is also great for travelling as it contains a large mirror, fits into my travel makeup bag and you can create many different looks with it, as I travel up and down quite a lot.

Looking at the close ups of the shadow there is such a variety in shades, especially when they are swatched. However I fear that this palette is almost missing a medium/dark brown shade that could be used in the crease and to blend other shadows - but that could just be me wanting to stick to my usual 'safe' shades.

Again the outer packaging of this palette is just to die for, really bringing it all together with a 3D look hidden within the lid. Also the loveliest mirror is always added to the Naked palettes meaning they are great travel buddies!

A few close ups of the shades swatched on my very very fair skin shows they are indeed highly pigmented, I decided to just do one sweep of colour to show you lovelies this. I don't know about you but the 4 middle eyeshadows are by far the prettiest and definitely my favourites so far. However I think En Fuego could look lovely around winter time. This palette also comes with a brilliant quality double ended eyeshadow brush, just like all the Urban Decay Naked palettes which is just perfect for helping you create the perfect eyes. I actually prefer this brush to many others on the market and tend to reach for this and my bobbi browns the most.

I really hope you have enjoyed this mini little review of the naked heat palette. In the future I hope to include some real life eye looks, almost like a tutorial showing the shades I use with what brushes to create it.

But for now I hope this post has given you an insight into this palette if you were maybe a little unsure, I say go for it! Order it! It is beyond pretty, Urban Decay you have again outdone yourselves.  Not a sponsored post. All images are my own copyright Abbey Hartley
